| Description | NFF-3 is hydrolyzed quickly by MMP-3 (kcat/Km=218000 s-1 M-1), and hydrolyzed very slowly by MMP-9 (kcat/Km=10100 s-1 M-1), but MMP-1 and MMP -2 has no significant hydrolysis. It is one of the few synthetic substrates selectively hydrolyzed by some members of the MMP family, and therefore has important applications in distinguishing MMP-3 activity from other MMP activities.
