Description | This is an N-terminal biotinylated peptide with phosphorylated Thr97. The sequence aprtpgrr contains a natural sequence derived from amino acids 95-98 of bovine myelin basic protein (PRTP). The rest of the sequence is not derived from the local sequence, but a synthetic structure. aprtpgrr is specific to MAP kinases: p44MAPK [extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1 (ERK1)] and p42MAPK (ERK2). It contains the consensus sequence Pro-X-(Ser/Thr)-Pro recognized by MAP kinase. aprtpgrr is the most effective substrate for the phosphorylation of ERK. It can be phosphorylated by the kinase on threonine 97 or by MAPK p38. |
