Description | This Ghrelin peptide is biotinylated at the N-terminus of the peptide. Ghrelin is an orexin hormone secreted by human gastric P/D1 type cells and circulates in the bloodstream under fasting conditions. The 28-amino acid Ghrelin n-octanoylated serine 3 is an endogenous ligand for growth hormone secretagogue receptor 1a (GHSR1a). The GHSR1a receptor seems to be specific to Ghrelin and is widely expressed in different tissues. |
