Description | PAF19 is an antimicrobial peptide with activity against fungi that cause postharvest decay in fruits. It inhibits the in vitro growth of strains of Penicillium italicum, Penicillium digitatum, and Botrytis cinerea, however it is ineffective against other filamentous fungi (including some that belong to the genus Penicillium) and several yeast and bacterial strains. |
