Product Name | Neural-Cadherin (76-85) amide (chicken) |
Purity | HPLC>95% |
Description | The decapeptide is located in the first extracellular domain (EC1) of N-cadherin. It inhibits cadherin-mediated cell adhesion, the tightening of mouse embryos at the eight-cell stage, and the growth of rat neurites on astrocytes. In the presence of this peptide, the Ca 2+ dependent cell aggregation of bovine brain microvascular endothelial cells is prevented. Putative applications in establishing a pathway for paracellular drug delivery across the blood-brain barrier have been proposed. |
