| Description | This is an acetylated alpha-tubulin peptide with a C-terminal WG linker at lysine 40, followed by biotinylated lysine. The acetylation at lysine 40 of this peptide has shown therapeutic interest in diseases involving altered intracellular trafficking such as Huntington's disease. Histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors have been shown to increase the vesicle transport of brain-derived neurotrophic factors, thereby increasing the acetylation of tubulin at lysine 40. |
