Product Name | Pannexin-1 (Panx1), Mimetic Blocking Peptide |
Purity | HPLC>95% |
Description | This is a pannexin-1 (Panx1) mimic blocking peptide. Pannexin-1 is a recently identified membrane protein. When overexpressed in two adjacent oocytes or mammalian epithelial cell lines, it can form gap junction-like connections to allow the dye to pass between cells. The blockade of pannexin-1 in macrophages that endogenously express the ATP-gated P2X7 receptor (P2X7R) prevents the initial dye uptake, but does not block the ion current, and also blocks the processing and release of interleukin-1 . (IL-1?) In response to P2X7R activation. |
