Product Name | Glutamic Acid Decarboxylase (GAD65) (524-543), p524-543 |
Purity | HPLC>95% |
Description | This is a 524 to 543 amino acid fragment of glutamate decarboxylase 65 (GAD65). In non-obese diabetes (NOD) mice spontaneous autoimmune diabetes (NOD) model, it is the first fragment of the pancreatic islet antigen, which can induce proliferative T cell responses. This peptide is a specific stimulator of the spontaneously produced diabetic T cell clone BDC2.5, and may be a low-affinity stimulator. Immunization with p524-543 can increase the susceptibility of NOD mice to type 1 diabetes induced by adoptive transfer of BDC2.5t cells. |
