Product Name | Integrin-Binding Site, GRGDNP |
Purity | HPLC>95% |
Description | This RGD-containing sequence is the integrin binding site. RGD peptides are found in extracellular matrix (ECM) (such as collagen, osteopontin, fibronectin, and vitronectin) and non-ECM proteins (such as disintegrin). Peptides containing RGD are recognized by several integrins. This peptide acts on both alphavbeta3 and alpha5beta1 integrins. The interaction of RGDN sequence with endothelial α5beta1 integrin leads to endothelin-mediated arteriolar vasoconstriction. This peptide affects the activation of IkappaB kinase (IKK)/nuclear factor kappaB (NF-kappaB). It also controls the contractile function of the heart. |
